Cultural Arts Education Program

Connecting Colorado to Brazl's Living Arts

Afro-Brazilian cultural arts are expressions of history, resilience, identity, and community. Rooted in Brazil's rich cultural heritage and shaped by generations of African and Afro-Brazilian influences, these traditions reflect stories of perseverance, cultural preservation, and connection. Through music, dance, movement, and storytelling, they carry knowledge and experiences passed down through generations.We aim to connect Colorado communities with Afro-Brazilian cultural arts through direct learning experiences with Brazilian artists, educators, and cultural practitioners.By inviting guest educators from Brazil, we hope to create opportunities for hands-on workshops, cultural presentations, and meaningful exchanges that bring participants closer to the people, histories, and cultural knowledge behind capoeira, and Afro-Brazilian arts.

By making these experiences accessible, especially for young people, we help create opportunities for the next generation to grow as learners, leaders, and cultural ambassadors.
